About this Site
IT Expert Voice is a resource for IT professionals who are concerned primarily with making technology work in their organizations, and in particular with deploying Windows 7 in a sane and trouble-free manner. The site, which is sponsored by Dell, aims to provide credible and useful information that helps you make good decisions. Our underlying assumption is that you are seriously considering a migration to Windows 7; we’re here to help you learn what you need to know for it to happen flawlessly.
Our primary areas of focus include virtualization, mobility, storage, cloud services, and automated management — but you’ll also find plenty of other technical overviews (tuned for an enterprise audience, obviously). We also have process-centric guides that have less to do with technology deployment than they do with the cat-herding duties of project management. The information will come from the names you know — writers whose articles you’ve read for decades — from CIOs and other practitioners facing the same challenges you do — and from the people at Dell who have expertise and passion to share. While Dell is sponsoring this site and provides input on topics of interest, editor-in-chief Esther Schindler is responsible both for assigning the insight cases and for selecting what content goes on the site.
While you’ll find plenty of technology features, case studies, and opinion columns here, IT Expert Voice is primarily a conversation. We aren’t standing at a podium, speaking pronouncements about the way we think the world of IT ought to be. This is a collaboration among experts — and you’re one of them. Please respond in the comments, follow us on Twitter, and let us know how we’re doing. —Esther Schindler, editor-in-chief
