Can you use USB 3.0 on USB 2.0 port?
Absolutely. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible, it will work at the ports of both USB 2.0 and even USB 1.1. However, speed will be limited to the maximum transfer rates of earlier version. So you will not get the transfer speed of USB 3.0 on USB 2.0; but you will be able to transfer files, albeit at a slower speed. You can plug USB 2.0 into USB 3.0 ports too
